One of Zomo's mottos is to bring joy wherever we go. We want everyone to be able to live a happy life. It is from this desire to change the world that Zomo Vivir was born, a program that supports social projects with more than 50 children at risk, making a difference in the lives of these young people.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

From afar, we could already see a colorful house, children laughing everywhere. At the gate, a girl looked out onto the street, saw us, and let us in. This is the Las T\u00edas Foundation, a place for children who have never had the opportunity to be part of a home. The Las T\u00edas Foundation works with abandoned children who were at risk. Right away, we could see the number of girls there. There are 31 girls who, unfortunately, have suffered some type of abuse, mainly from their families.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

Aunt Cristina, who is responsible for the house, tells us and shows us what it is like to build a home for these children. They study, do activities around the house, and are taught from an early age to live as a team, each one doing a little bit to keep the house as a family. We can see how happy these children are, and any demonstration of affection from us is enough to make them smile. And what a smile, right? It is so good to see a child happy.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t

The Hogar de Las Tias has 41 children. The young lady who was waiting for us at the gate has autism, and Aunt Cristina takes extra care of her, and she also has the help of 4 other \u201caunts\u201d, as they call themselves. Unfortunately, the government does not help the home, so all the people and companies that can, contribute in some way to its smooth running. Zomo and the Zomo Viver project have been part of this story for 7 years, making Aunt Cristina\u2019s dream come true. This home gives these children who have left an unhappy reality the opportunity to have a family. Some of them have already had contact with drugs and today they can enjoy a true childhood, experiencing moments that only a child has the right to experience.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t

HOGAR REVIVIR is also a place for abandoned children, but with a difference: these children live with HIV. A disease that today allows those with HIV to have a normal life. Unfortunately, what is not normal is the prejudice it causes.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

This house is made up of 13 children, cared for by a family consisting of Elimar (father), Nilda (mother) and Camila (daughter), but, as Camila herself says, they are all family here. If they go out to eat, everyone goes. If they go on a trip, everyone goes. They fight, they are happy, they have lunch on Sundays, they are a family like everyone else.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

Camila told us her story. The children have been to several schools, trying to remain anonymous because the lack of information from the parents of the other students makes living together horrible, bringing bullying into their lives. Liz, who is now 15, was the first girl to arrive when she was just 5 years old. Today Camila says she has the difficult task of explaining the issue of relationships, because they haven\u2019t even had their first kiss, and she asks herself \u201cWhy should I have this disease and other children don\u2019t?\u201d<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t

The work that the family does is even more important: they get university visitors to tell them the story and a little about the disease and show them that it is possible to have a normal life with the right treatment. The government pays for the medicines for these children, which allows their viral load to be undetectable, meaning it is impossible for them to transmit the virus to other people in risky situations.\u00a0

The vibe of this family is immeasurable. The love and affection we can feel, in the eyes of everyone, not just the children, is inspiring. The care that the older children have for their younger siblings shows us the true meaning of a family, and Mother Nilda says: \u201cThey are all my children.\u201d<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t
